Every business started small, most of them folded along the way, but some lasted for generations. All of them worried how to do some marketing for their brand. Multinationals use mass media as their advertisers, while for a rookie business, personalized keychains will do.
In no way should these humble items be downplayed. I’m pretty sure other companies also used it, or at least something similar to it, as their promotional product at one time or another. Entering and being part of the industry is the primordial objective of a rookie businessman. However, surviving in it is a totally different matter. Promotional items would really help a lot in making their entry into the business world, but should not create a downward spiral on their finances so as to be another threat to their survival.
